A Small Church Conference in Utah April 29th, 30th

Our Utah conference is history now.  I believe it was a great time of encouragement and blessing to the nearly 100 people in attendance!

We began Friday evening with a "Family Fun Adventure" which included games, prizes and snacks (popcorn, cotton candy etc.) for kids and adults of all ages.  It was also a wonderful time of fellowship among those pastor’s and their wives who were present.

Saturday began with donuts followed with a fast paced day of preaching, teaching, fellowship, breakouts (workshops) and food.   It was great!

Our theme was  “A Church is God’s Church – No Matter How Small.”  Throughout the day, we were encouraged to serve faithfully where God has placed us and to be more interactive with God’s servants who are within range of us geographically.

A poem which was crafted for this specific occasion said it very well…

The Story Behind the Novel - The Terminal Option

Did you know that our very own John Rogers is a published author?   He is!   And I am excited to let you all know that his book, The Terminal Option, is now in print again!   (See the link on this page.)

From the cover: “In this dystopian fiction novel, John Rogers casts a frightening vision of America in the next century.   Wrestling with real, modern-day moral issues like abortion and fetal rights, population control and gender roles, this gritty thriller paints a grim picture of a reality that is all too possible – unless something is done to change the status quo.”

I asked John to write an article telling of his decision and reasoning for penning this book.  I hope you will check it out and then go buy John’s book, The Terminal Option!

Blessing to you!

Our Faith

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility become sinners in thought, word and deed.

As the pastor of Shepherd Road Baptist Church, I have had the privilege of knowing John and Beabea for a decade of ministry.   I can commend the Rogers' in the same words that Paul used of Timothy, "and if [John] comes, see that he may be with you without fear, for he does the work of the Lord, as I also do." 1 Corinthians 16:10
