Philip and Katie Hewitt Update 12/25/24
December 27, 2024
Merry Christmas From the Hewitt’s
Great is Thy faithfulness! A while back we sang that old hymn at church, and it rang differently than the many times I’ve sung it before. God has really been working in my life these last few months to trust in Him more. Not to just say, “I know God can do this, but will he?!?!” but to actually trust in His provision for our needs. These needs vary from finances to health questions to navigating parenthood. Guess what? He has never failed us! More importantly as I explore the lyrics to that song further, I’m reminded of a much greater need. Salvation. God is faithful to save the lost. He is faithful to complete the good work started in His children’s lives! Hallelujah!
There have been several ministry opportunities in the last couple months. At the beginning of November BEM hosted a small church pastor’s conference in Kokomo, IN. It was a great time of encouragement for pastors and lay leaders in the area. I was also able to help several pastors with running basic maintenance on their laptops during the conference.
I’ve also been working with a retired missionary pastor in Utah for several months. We’ve been building a website to share information and to be a place where people can discuss theological differences and ask any questions they may have. As this project is wrapping up, I’m thankful for the opportunity and the connections made.
In the new year we will be seeking opportunities to grow our ministry team and seek out areas where we can serve. Please pray for us as we seek these opportunities.
Also, please pray as we are seeking the Lord’s provision for a new vehicle. Though it has served us well, our family van is really on its last leg. At 16 years old and nearly 300,000 miles it’s beginning to break down and requiring repairs.
