Rogers Update - 8/16/12
August 18, 2012

Greetings from Indiana!

Yes, it is true, I am here, after 10 weeks on the road and 7500 miles, I am sitting at my office in the basement of my house writing you this email update.  It is great to be home.  I officially named August 13th as “Beabea Day” after my wife, Beabea.  It is truly wonderful to be back together.  We tried “the hugging through the phone concept” (we received several detailed descriptions from some of you on how to do that), but it was not the same!  Oh, yes, for those of you that requested that I hug Beabea for you, I have fulfilled my responsibility!  She appreciates all the hugs!

The trip out west was a very profitable time.  I spoke in a good number of churches, helped in the beginning stages of a Baptist church plant in Utah, and was involved in brainstorming with a special church in Oceanside, California about their potential in ministry.  I was able to spend time with friends and family during the trip that was very encouraging, not to mention (but I will) the opportunity to enjoy my grandkids.

This is already a very busy week, getting ready to head to Alaska on a five week trip.  Beabea and I leave Indiana in just a few days.  We would appreciate your prayers that we are able to get all the things done that need to be done.

Upon arriving in Alaska our schedule will be quite busy.  We will be meeting with missionaries, speaking in churches (John), speaking at a ladies retreat (Beabea), and meeting with individuals as well as doing our Relationship Conference. We are planning to enjoy the great state of Alaska in between events.  Pray that this will be profitable trip that will accomplish much and also give Beabea and me a chance to enjoy our time together after being apart for most of the summer.

Thanks for your prayers!

Your fellow servant,

John
